What drives international pricing

Three factors:

  1. Number of countries in the candidate’s history. One country is cheaper than three.
  2. Which countries. Some have low-cost public registries (most EU), others have higher-fee agents (US state checks, some Middle Eastern jurisdictions).
  3. Which checks per country. A criminal record check is usually cheaper than a full qualification verification, which involves contacting the issuing institution.

Country-by-country pricing varies, sometimes substantially. EU and EEA criminal record checks tend to be the cheapest; US state-by-state checks, some Latin American jurisdictions, and certain Middle Eastern countries are the most expensive. Qualification and employment verifications scale with the number of items checked.
