What does background screening cost?
Pescheck uses pay-as-you-go pricing. You only pay for the checks you run, with no subscriptions, no setup fees, and no minimum volume.
In short: Pay only for what you run. No subscriptions, no setup fees, no minimum order. Live pricing per check is visible in your dashboard and on the pricing page.
How pay-as-you-go works
Most screening providers lock you into annual contracts and bundle dozens of checks you do not need. Pescheck does the opposite: you build the exact package each role requires, and you only pay when a screening runs.
You can:
- Pick from pre-built packages (Standard, Enhanced, Complete) for common roles
- Or assemble a custom profile from any combination of our 15+ check types
- Run one screening or one thousand, the per-screening price is the same
See live pricing on the pricing page or in your dashboard after signing up.
What affects the price
Three things determine the cost of a single screening:
- Which checks are included, a single ID check is a few euros; a full international qualification verification is significantly more
- The country or region, international checks involve local agents and registries, which costs more than domestic
- The number of items per check, for example, 1 reference is cheaper than 3 references; 1 qualification is cheaper than 3
You see the total quote before you authorise the screening. No surprises.
What is included at no extra cost
- The Pescheck platform (dashboard, candidate flow, audit log)
- Automated reminders to candidates
- Branded candidate communications
- Multi-user team accounts
- API access (for technical integrations)
- Secure storage of completed reports

What about candidates?
Candidates never pay for a screening run by an organisation. The only time a person pays directly is when they request their own personal background check, useful if you want to proactively share a verified profile with a future employer.
