What happens after my screening completes?
Your screening is done. Here is who sees the report, what it contains, and what to do if you want a copy.
In short: When your screening completes, the requesting organisation receives a report. The report contains only the verified facts of each check, no judgements or recommendations. You can ask the organisation directly for a copy.
Who gets the report
The organisation that requested your screening receives the report through their secure Pescheck dashboard. Only the team members they have given access to can see it. We do not share results with anyone else.
If a recruitment agency arranged your screening to place you with a client, the agency is the requester and receives the report. Whether they share it with the client is their decision, not ours.
What the report contains
The report shows the outcome of each check, not the underlying personal data. For example:
- “Identity verified” rather than your raw passport scan
- “No criminal record found in the past 4 years” rather than a copy of a government registry
- “Employment dates confirmed by employer” rather than the call notes
The report contains no hiring recommendation. We do not score candidates or label results as “pass” or “fail”. The organisation interprets the facts in the context of the role.
If a check returns a finding
A finding does not automatically mean the organisation will rescind a job offer. Findings need context, and the organisation is required by GDPR to consider relevance, recency, and the role before making any decision.
If there is something you want the organisation to know, for example context around an old criminal record, or a gap in employment, you can share it directly with them. We will never add comments to a report on your behalf.
Getting a copy for yourself
You always have the right to a copy of your own report under GDPR. Two ways to request one:
- Ask the organisation, they have the full report and can share it with you directly. This is usually fastest.
- Submit a data access request to Pescheck, via the support form, referencing the email used during the screening. We respond within one month as required by GDPR.
Once you have your report, it is yours to keep and share with future employers if you choose. Some candidates use a recent verified screening to shorten the hiring process at their next role.
