How do I request a screening for a candidate?

Three steps: pick the checks, add the candidate, and we handle the rest. The whole setup takes under two minutes per candidate.

In short: Sign in to the dashboard, pick a screening package (or build a custom one), enter the candidate’s name and email, and we email them a secure consent link. The whole thing takes under two minutes.

The three steps

1. Choose the checks

Either pick a pre-built package (Standard, Enhanced, Complete) or compose your own from the catalogue. You can save custom profiles per role and reuse them later.

2. Add the candidate

You only need two pieces of information from the candidate at this stage:

  • Their name
  • Their email address

You do not need their ID, address history, or anything else. The candidate provides those directly through their secure link.

3. We do the rest

Once you click “Send screening”, we email the candidate a secure link explaining:

  • Which checks you have requested
  • What data each check needs from them
  • Their consent options

They sign electronically, provide what is needed, and we run the checks. You see live progress in the dashboard, and the final report appears when complete.

What you do not need to do

A lot of organisations are used to old screening providers where they have to chase candidates, manage documents, and handle compliance paperwork. With Pescheck:

  • We chase the candidate (automated reminders if they go quiet)
  • We collect, verify, and securely dispose of supporting documents
  • We handle consent and retention compliance
  • We notify you only when there is something for you to act on

If a screening stalls because the candidate has not completed their step, we will tell you, but we will also keep nudging them so you do not have to.

Bulk and API options

If you screen large numbers of candidates, you can:

  • Upload candidates in bulk via CSV
