In Deel, a new worker is added once you have decided to hire them, whether as an employee on your own payroll, through Deel's EOR or as a contractor. That is the moment a background check usually belongs: before the contract starts, or before the person gets access to systems, customers or money. For distributed teams, screening can also apply to existing workers who move into roles with stricter requirements.
Without an integration, HR copies the worker's name, email address and role from Deel into a separate screening tool and tracks the outcome somewhere else. With the integration, the screening starts from the person who is already in Deel.
