In Loket, a new employee is added to the system before their first payroll run, often as part of preboarding. That is a natural moment for a background check: the contract is agreed, and identity, diploma, references or a VOG (certificate of conduct) still need to be in order before the start date. For roles in finance, healthcare, childcare, security or with access to sensitive data, you can also re-screen current employees from the same record.
