PayFit holds the employee record that feeds payroll, so the person you screen is usually a new hire who has just been added or an existing employee. A background check fits between the signed contract and the first working day, or before someone gets access to money, customer data or sensitive systems. For roles in finance, security or with access to confidential data, it can also be part of re-screening current staff.
Without an integration, HR or the founder retypes the person's name, email address and role into a separate screening tool and tracks the outcome by hand. With the integration, the screening starts from the employee who is already in PayFit.

Pescheck connects with PayFit through Kombo, an integration platform for HR software that many HR tech vendors use. Your PayFit admin authorises the connection once. In Pescheck you choose which checks belong to which roles, for example ID, criminal record, diplomas, references, employment history or PEP and sanctions screening, and our integration team helps you map this to your PayFit setup.
